Love Envelope Pillow

As many pillows as I have made so far, I thought this would be beautiful and comforting. The text is customizable, you can add suggestions below in the comments section!

The postage says, "7th Heaven, 2011".

The stuffing is Poly-Fill and the stitches are machine sewn apart from the small section where I had filled the pillow then hand-sewn it closed.

A great gift to that special person in your life, whether right next to you or hundreds of miles away. Spritz it with your favorite perfume, or cologne, and give it to the one you love. For their birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, etc... You don't even need an occasion to show how much you love him/her.

Baby Blanket and Pillow - Fireman Theme

So my cousin and his wife are expecting a baby boy! My cousin has loved the fire department since he was a baby himself almost. Hence the theme.

This blanket and pillow set is in a fleece fabric I purchased, so it will be nice and soft for a baby. :)

The pillow is 13 1/2" x 9 1/2"

The blanket is 30" x 37 1/2"

Thanks for looking! I love displaying what I make and I will be listing things in the near future for sale! Keep an eye out! ;)

Quilted Block Letter Wall Hanging

I have been wanting to make letters to hang on the wall spelling out my daughters name for a while now. I toyed with several different ways of doing this and this is what I finally had the urge to create!

Happy 4th of July

Hope you and your loved ones had a very happy and safe 4th of July! Ours was a quiet one. Needed a mini vacation. Planning on living it up next year! I owe my little girl some firework action. ;) Maybe with a picnic. Hmmm Picnic Blanket!!! I will get right on that ;)

My Latest Fabric Spree

So yesterday I went on a shopping spree. I needed some Mommy time. ;) Of course one of my stops was to buy fabric! lol Here are the latest patterns I purchased...

This is a nice shiny, minty green shade and the pink and white candy cane pattern is glittery. Couldn't pass this up!!

Loved this for Halloween!

A shiny patriotic fabric! Had to grab a few yards of this ;)

My daughter is starting school this year so I have been loving the school-type patterns! This I loved with the apples, letter graphs and the fabric is shiny and there is glitter on the apples. Cannot wait to use this!

My First Handmade Dress - Results

So here it is....The inspiration was a pillowcase dress, though this wasnt from a pillowcase. I used raw fabric and some embellishments. I love the way it looks though I think next time I will be changing how it ties on. The ribbons on the shoulders keep slipping off.

Overall, I think it's pretty! Thanks for looking!

My First Handmade Dress!

I am going to be making a dress for Gabby today! First time. Should be interesting ;) A learning experience if nothing else. :) I will post photos once I am done!

Enjoy this wonderful day!

Camera Strap

I have been wanting to make a camera strap for a while now, but I have been preoccupied. So, I finally picked out some fabric I have been wanting to use and decided to sit down and make it!

I embroidered each piece, not sure if you can see it very well.

Love the way it came out! Now I am thinking of making several more in different designs and swapping them out depending on which I want at the time. A blue theme sounds nice! Spring inspired me for this theme!

I would like to thank Vanessa at The Crafty Gemini for taking the time to make this Tutorial!

Yellow Blue Denim Purse

New bag I made tonight. The base is denim I have been looking forward to using. I had been collecting various fabrics in yellow/blue patterns and they seemed perfect for the denim.

Here is a view of the finished product with one of the straps showing.

Here is the other strap I made.

Here is a close up of both straps together.

Here is the lining with my label and if you look closely you can see the inner pocket I made as well.

The appliques I made, I had sewn on whim and they should actually fray a little on the edges to give it a little more zing.

Overall, I like the way it came out though I tend to add and create on the spur of the moment.

Looking forward to my next project. I am pretty into making the purses though. Purses are one of my weaknesses. lol

Reversible Rag Blanket

I should SO be sleeping, but I couldn't wait to see it and post photos. :)

The Embroidery came out lovely...

Updates

For the past week I have been sick. Today, I finally had to get involved in another project! Aside from making my hubby Chicken Curry in the slow cooker and baked him the cookies I have been promising him for over a week, I started on a baby blanket I have been tossing around in my head.

I have it in the dryer right now, so it should be ready for photos shortly! I cant wait to see how it came out.

I will post details and photos either in a little while or in the morning. SO much to do the next two days for my daughters birthday party on Sunday. Hectic!

Handmade from the heart. Cant go wrong! :)

Spring Quilt Tote Bag

This project, I wanted something a bit bigger (made it 11.5" x 14") and slightly different. I love the quilted look so I wanted to try that. This is my first try. I need a few improvements, but overall, I like how it came out. :)
